A mechanical engineer by trade, I have 7 years of experience in product development, testing and sustaining.
Some areas of expertise include:
Electromechanical product development
Sustaining and warranty reduction
Test system design and construction
In my spare time I enjoy doing home remodeling projects, playing flag football, drawing and playing Dungeons & Dragons.
(Really, I just enjoy creating things - like an old Seattle Police Department van that I converted into a camper! Check out that project and many others here.)
I received my Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Christian University in 2015. College swimming brought me from the Pacific Northwest down to Texas after I was recruited to compete for TCU on an athletic scholarship. During my 4-year career, I collected the following accolades:
Top 5 all-time in the 500-, 1000- and 1650-yard freestyle events
School record holder in the 500-yard freestyle
During my undergraduate career I was also a Resident Assistant, TCU President of the NCAA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and a Design Lead for our senior class engineering project.

I find that my work is most fulfilling when I am passionate about the products that I am working on. Electric vehicles, tools, aerospace products, video games and consumer goods in general are of particular interest to me.
While a balance between form and function is important, I am a strong believer in aesthetic-driven design and believe that people are more likely to purchase products that look and feel good to use. Thus, my interests are focused on roles that allow me creative freedom in the systems or products I will be working on. This includes usability, ergonomics, materials and color - even if the product is only for internal use and will never see a store shelf. This philosophy is also exemplified in my home renovation projects.
In time, I would like to pursue an MBA and transition to engineering management - for now, however, I enjoy being boots on the ground.
